Taping movement not muscle
Kinesiotaping is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process without affecting circulation whilst allowing support and stability to muscles and joints, without restricting the body’s range of motion. The taping targets different receptors which is found by reducing pain. Therefore, correct application of the k-tape helps alleviate pain and encourages facilitation of lymphatic drainage by minimal lifting of the skin, which helps decreases the inflammatory process.
RockTape is a special kind of tape known as Kinesiology tape. First used by acupuncturists and chiropractors in Japan, modern day use is widespread throughout the world to treat injuries and improve sports performance.
This tape is specially engineered to provide decompression to our skin as it introduces a bias into the weave of the fabric, causing it stretch in one direction and not the other. This creates a bio-mechanical lifting mechanism that lifts the skin away from the soft tissue underneath, which allows more blood to move into an injured area to accelerate healing and recovery whilst relieving pain and swelling.
While the use of Kinesiology tape is often associated with superstar athletes, the reality is that RockTape is effective for the treatment of a wide variety of problems, not just sports injuries.
